 about

We pride ourselves on being an artist cooperative. Artists display their collections in available spaces, and volunteer their time when the gallery is open. The Big Eye is meant to be an epicenter of fine arts and crafts in the area, and a place for the community to come together. We love our family here at the Big Eye, but are always looking for new blood to expand our collection and point of view.

The gallery is a charming rennovated carriage house on the corner of County Routes 401 and 405, in the heart of South Westerlo, New York. Originally built as a federal building, the carriage house was moved to this location on logs pulled by a team of oxen. In the yard, the gazebo and wooden benches are prime spots to view the flower garden and surrounding outdoor sculptures. Behind the gallery sits the Gristmill, a fitness center offering classes in fencing, Yoga, and Yamuna Body Rolling.

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
